What Will I Earn?

As a member of The Light Dragoons, a Formation Reconnaissance regiment in the Royal Armoured Corps, you will be on higher rates of pay than many others in the Army as a consequence of the additional specialist training you receive.

Having completed your basic military training and then your trade training at the Royal Armoured Corps Training Centre in Bovington, Dorset (link to ARMCEN Site) you will be paid as a driver/signaller.

Within a year of joining the Regiment, you will undergo further training as a gunner, signaller or a support trooper and your pay will increase. As your career in the Regiment progresses, you will have the opportunity to gain further skills, some of which merit additional pay.
